NEXUS
Nexus at Biblio
On August 31st, Nomad Studios hosted the first edition of Nexus at Biblio in Cape Town. From 5pm to midnight, the space came alive with sound, art, and community — an intimate launch that marked the start of Nomad’s offline journey.
The night featured sets from Ghxst Bunny, Sise, and Shakes Mbolekwana, carrying the crowd from high-energy openings through layered house textures and into deep Afro-tech rhythms.
Around the music, art activations gave the evening its texture: Fern selling prints, Claudia Botha’s Cape Town Archetype series, Neha Misra’s work, and Bats Does Tatts bringing tattoo artistry into the mix. Guests also got a first look at Nomad works in production, previewing what’s to come from the studio.
More than a party, Nexus was a statement of intent — to create spaces where grassroots art and sound collide, where culture is lived together. With summer ahead, this was only the beginning.
